BACKGROUND –
Upgrade of the existing hospital at Wagga Wagga including construction of a new mental health facility, facilities management office/workshop and acute services building.
CHALLENGES –
Existing site had an Alerton BMS throughout so this system was expanded upon to add the new buildings to the existing infrastructure. Also had to keep interruptions to the old hospital to a minimum while constructing the new hospital.
SOLUTION –
The new BMS comprises of over 300 Alerton controllers plus interfaces to hydraulics, medical gas, lifts, electrical services, pneumatic tube systems, helicopter approach ventilation and a weather station.
